Xxijra Hii is pleased to present works by David Micheaud and Nick Paton at Collective Ending as a part of First Edition organised by Billy Fraser.
First Edition offers a dynamic and supportive environment for artists and galleries, within which to foster a deeper understanding of the ever-evolving ever-changing emerging art scene in London. Additionally, First Edition hopes to serve as a resource for collectors and curators to explore collaborative possibilities and alternative paths for grassroots organisations and communities.
Our selection of participants represents a diverse array of organisations nurturing the next generation of emerging artists. In a departure from convention, the nine galleries participating in the inaugural First Edition do not formally represent the artists they showcase. Instead, we have embraced a pooled commission structure, encouraging all participants to actively promote one another and move away from the traditional commission model and the gatekeeping of sales.
Following the exhibition’s conclusion, we will provide a comprehensive breakdown of the project’s costs. Moreover, 10% of the entire project’s sales commission will be donated to GIVE ME SPACE.
With the belief that “the whole is bigger than the sum of its parts,” First Edition invites you to join us as we celebrate the limitless versatility and adaptability within our diverse artistic community here in London.
